1. Overview
Afterlife is symbolic entertainment. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We keep data minimal and never sell it.
2. What We Collect
- Account data: email address, unique handle, display name, and a hashed password.
- Activity data: your A$ balance and the tributes / content you post.
- Payment data: we do not store your card number. Payments are handled by Stripe; we retain only the purchase amount and a Stripe session reference.
- Technical data: a session cookie (see below) and standard server logs (IP, user-agent) used for security and debugging.
3. How We Use Data
To create and secure your account, credit A$ purchases, display your content on the leaderboard and tributes wall, prevent abuse, and comply with law. We do not use your data for advertising.
4. Payments & Stripe
Card payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. Your card details are provided directly to Stripe and governed by their Privacy Policy (stripe.com/privacy). We receive only confirmation of payment and a session ID.
5. Cookies
We use a single HTTP-only session cookie (afterlife_session) to keep you signed in. It is not used for tracking or advertising.
6. Sharing
We share data only with service providers who run the service (e.g. Stripe for payments, our hosting provider), or when required by law. We do not sell personal data.
7. Children
Afterlife is not directed to anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a minor has registered, contact us to delete the account.
8. Your Rights
Depending on where you live (e.g. GDPR / UK GDPR / CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your data, and to object to certain processing. Email privacy@7er.cn to exercise them. We respond within applicable timeframes.
9. Retention & Security
We keep personal data only as long as needed to provide the service or meet legal obligations, then delete or anonymize it. We use industry-standard measures (hashed passwords, encrypted transport), though no system is perfectly secure.
10. Changes
We may update this policy and will post the new version here with a revised date.
